Behavior Plan
Being a PBIS school, we have established clear expectations for all students, building-wide. We are looking for students who follow and demonstrate "Paw Pride" throughout the school day. Our goal is to encourage positive behaviors everyday. Please help us by reminding your child of school appropriate behavior at home as well. The three main rules are centered around these ideas:
*Be Responsible* *Be Respectful* *Be Safe*
****************************************************************************
Mrs.Midiri's Classroom Expectations:
-Follow directions the first time they are given.
-Raise your hand if you want to ask or say something.
-Work quietly and walk quietly.
-Return homework on time.
-Treat others like you want to be treated.
-Use kind words.
****************************************************************************
In 3rd, 4th and 5th grade we use a PAW sheet to record daily behavior. This is an important document that is to stay in your child's STAR binder and it is turned in to the teacher each Friday. On the PAW sheet is where I will write any notes concerning why a paw was taken. This is also where I will record if your child doesn't return homework.
Classroom Consequences:
1st warning- loss of one paw on PAW sheet (verbal redirection)
2nd warning- loss of 10 minutes of recess
3rd warning- loss of all of the next recess
Final warning- sent to office and a phone call home
*Check your child's PAW sheet each day.*

Class Dojo
All week long your child is looking to earn points through helping others, being on-task, participating, working hard and working well with a team. Each time I notice these behaviors I mark them on my Class DOJO app and let the points build up! Students accumulate points throughout the week and on Mondays they can redeem their points for a treat/reward or they can choose to save them up until they reach a desired reward. I've used class DOJO for a few year now and I love the positive incentive it brings as well as the fun monster avatars. As a parent, you are able to check and see how your child is doing on earning points each week. This is a free app that you download, I will be sending home information soon. I hope you connect with us!
